Con el fin de conmemorar esta primera etapa, el 23 de noviembre de 2015 se llevó a cabo una ceremonia en la ciudad de Florida, que contó con la presencia del ministro de Trabajo y Seguridad Social, Ernesto Murro, y el presidente de Plan Ceibal, Miguel Brechner.

En el evento, se le entregó una tablet a Genoveva, una jubilada de 90 años del departamento de Florida, quien con mucho entusiasmo la recibió en representación de los 15 000 beneficiarios que ya cuentan con su tablet.
